Burghfield 6-Pack

The first results in for the year are from the Burghfield six pack that was held on the first three Sundays of December 2008 and the last three Sundays of January 2009.  Pete Barlow has conributed a Report and results.

 

Burghfield Open - April 18/19

Over recent years the BSC event has evolved into the class ‘training’ open where the emphasis is on the transfer of boat specific skills. 25 helms entered with 22 of them competing in the Open racing.   Report and results.

 

Bala Open - May 17/18

Bala lake has a history of providing the Blaze fleet with, shall we say, 'trying' conditions at both ends of the wind scale.   In keeping with tradition, the '09 open was anything but dull.   Report and results.

 

Warsash Open - June 13/14

A light sea breeze, glorious sunshine and a fine turnout.   the Warsash Open, ever the reliable crowd pleaser, did not dissapoint.  Results and report.

 

Felpham Regatta/Blaze Open - July 4/5

The Felpham Regatta, incorporating the Blaze Open, managed to provide a wide range of wind strengths over the 2 days- providing something for everyone.  Results and report.

 

Stone Open - July 25/26

Very mixed conditions meant that consistency, rather than individual wins, was the challenge of the weekend.   Results and report.

 

ASYC Open Regatta - Blaze Scottish Nationals 2009

Heavy winds battered the Blaze fleet at the annual Scottish Nationals, Results and report.

 

Blazes at the Round Sheppey Race- September 09

Six Blazes completed the annual forty mile round sheppey race.   Results and Report.

 

Pembrokeshire Nationals  11-13 September '09

Frustrating wind and long potponements charecterized a Nationals that, by the weather, could well have taken place in July!   Report and results.
